The details of this luxurious Chicago wedding inspiration have us swooning! Photographed in a penthouse over looking the city, this styled shoot is modern yet so romantic. We are just loving the pink and marsala color palette in the airy space. And how dreamy is the pink carnation garland?!
More on the inspirations behind the shoot from Maria Harte Photography:
When you have the opportunity to do a photoshoot at a private residence on the top of one of Chicago’s most iconic buildings, you cancel everything to make it happen! Trump Tower here I come. Ozzie Gromada Meza from gromeza floral design studio told me the residence was beaming with natural light EVERYWHERE, I had to see it for myself. He was absolutely right. The residence was as unique as Chicago’s architecture and as bold as Lake Michigan. The inspiration of this shoot comes from many places from travels across the country to the details of the residence. The first thing you see as you enter this residence is a wall of windows overlooking the wonderful city of Chicago. On this day the clouds were standing proud and covering the city, but the light still beamed. The flood of light created a soft, peaceful feeling sort of angelic. The striking details throughout the residence including the geometric lines along the walls of the hallway inspired the bold look and tones. Now let’s talk about the chandelier over the table! This piece was done by a German named Ingo Maurer and the piece is called “Porca Miseria! Chandelier.” It’s made of broken plates, bowls, cups, vases, forks, and spoons. How amazing and unique! The chandelier was pivotal in the shoot as it inspired the unique vessels of the flower arrangements from an octopus figurine in the middle of the table to a large seashell on the fireplace. Now the color…a touch of pink and plenty of texture and marsala. Pink from the carnation garland represents the angelic, light feeling of being so high in the sky on the 49th floor of a high-rise filled light. Marsala represents the boldness and uniqueness of the residence. A soft touch in a bold setting. A band of wonderful Chicago creatives came together for the first time ever to bring this vision together. Ozzie’s creative direction, styling and floral design was wonderfully unique and fitting for this residence. Here’s to inspiration in the most uncommon places.
