We are just adoring these backyard bridal portraits – romantic, cozy, and chic.
The bride and groom officially tied the knot on a sunny, but chilly March day with snow on the ground and barren trees. While they treasured that day for many reasons, the bride had always dreamt of a classy, but homey backyard affair. So, I set out to curate a portfolio that captured that vision. The cranberry red and gold details paired with the earthy naturals to create a scene that evoked memories of holidays and warmth without being overt. The bride’s delicate pendant necklace was a gift from her then fiance on the day of their wedding. Her gentile style was juxtaposed well by the groom’s own shotgun shell boutonniere. As the evening progressed, the bride donned an army green jacket, perfect for keeping warm while sipping hot cider with your love, which brought a more rustic edge to her soft and feminine dress. Surrounded by the warmth of the home the bride grew up in and the golden sun, the couple got to experience their love anew in this relaxed setting.
