The day after Valentine’s day has us in the mood for romantic pink, maroon, and red weddings. This vintage inspired black tie wedding is perfect for that. So glamorous and lovely!
Blake and John’s wedding all started with the ring. John proposed to Blake with a ring that included gorgeous vintage ruby’s that had once belonged to her grandmother and meant the world to Blake. Blake knew she wanted the ring to become the basis for all of the wedding day design, inspiration and glam. It was the perfect embodiment of vintage, classic, Hollywood glamour that blake wanted in her Wedding day. The beautiful Scottish Rite Cathedral played host to the vintage black tie affair and set the stage for all the gold and ruby glamour to come. Guests were greeted with 5 foot tall towering floral arrangements from Accent Floral Design that included beautiful soft pink peonies, creamy ivory ranunculus and pops of ruby dahlias and a string quartet to set the elegant scene. After a beautiful ceremony with a gorgeous stained glass backdrop, Cocktails and the most decadent hors d’oeuvres were waiting for guests as they entered the second floor balcony overlooking the reception space that was dripping in candles, florals and gorgeous gold and ivory linens. The First impressions band serenaded everyone with Sinatra era tunes and brought everyone back in time with them. From there it was a fun filled evening with plenty of heart warming tears, bear hugs, the most amazing dinner, dancing, and a step back in time for for all those who attended. – Sarah of Plum & Poppy
