We are thrilled to be featuring this jewel tone & copper wedding inspiration. This palette is going to be very popular for 2016 weddings and we can see why – it is so dreamy! Every detail of this wedding inspiration with vintage cars and bike galore is just lovely. The rich and vibrant details paired with the copper is a match made in heaven. Lastly when your cocktail (moscow mule) matches the color palette you know it’s perfection.
What do you do in a warehouse venue filled with classic cars, vintage motorcycles and an old Airstream trailer?!…Throw the most elegant jewel-toned wedding with copper touches ever!
Our team did JUST that. The bride wore not one, but TWO gorgeous dresses by Essence of Australia including a sweetheart lace bodice gown with a tulle skirt and grosgrain sash for the ceremony and dinner and an A-line lace gown with sleeves was worn for the remainder of the reception. A braided bun served as the perfect hairstyle to highlight both the necklines of the gowns and the botanical necklaces the bride wore with each. A berry-toned lip was added for more drama in her evening look.
The botanical necklaces worn by the bride were total works of art. One featured floral “beads” and some hanging elements of pepper berry and amaranthus and the other featured copper-painted leaves with copper-dipped berries and vintage costume jewelry accents. Both were designed with leather cord and metal closures just like real necklaces.
A glorious garden-style bouquet complimented both of the looks the bride wore. It was made of a variety of textural flowers and foliages including protea, spider mokara, vanda, garden roses, spray roses, queen Anne’s lace, roses, leucadendron, silver dollar eucalyptus, copper salal foliage, blushing bride, pepperberry, privet berry, jasmine, and ruscus.
To juxtapose the venue’s eclectic decor an elegant spread of textural jewel-toned flowers, linens and paper items adorned the tables. Cakes and cupcakes adorned with flowers and fruits sat perfectly in front of vintage motorcycles. A floral chandelier hung from an arch over the sweetheart table, and a decadent tablescape of textural compote-style floral arrangements, lanterns, copper mercury glass votives, vintage botanical pages, china, goblets and beautiful paper items served as the perfect seating area for guests.
Touches of metallic copper appeared in the invitations, ribbons on the champagne favors, programs, escort cards, bar menu, vases, votives and even in the cake! One of the cake’s tiers was actually painted with an edible copper metallic finish. It looked AMAZING!
One of our most unique wedding decorations was the hanging ribbon escort card display. Navy diamond-shaped cardstock escort cards were handwritten in copper ink by a calligrapher and slotted to hang on the curtain-like ribbon display. Once the cards were taken, the ribbon display made for a beautiful backdrop behind the sweetheart table.
We tried to use every inch of this amazing venue…the retro bar was decked out with beer from the local brewery and Moscow Mules in copper mugs with mint leaf accents. The venue’s Airstream trailer made for the perfect photobooth. It is truly a one-of-a-kind wedding setting! – Kristen, Kio Kreations
