A bit preppy and a bit nautical in the details of this lovely Cog Hill wedding. The green and white striped accessories with the navy make this combination perfect for a golf and country club.
I have met many brides and grooms with my job, but this couple was one of the happiest I’ve met to date. They are so sweet and very caring about everyone around them. These too never stopped smiling, from the day I met with them to discuss wedding day details, all the way through their fun filled wedding day. The details and planning they put into this wedding, especially Jennifer, was nothing short of spectacular. This truly is a couple that brightens the room when they walk in and being a part of their wedding was, for me, a complete honor. From the Bride :(Mike and I) met July 5th, 2007 at Bourbon Street, a bar on the south side of Chicago, IL. My best friend and Matron of Honor, Meg, actually pushed me into him. The rest is history! We were engaged at my grandparents cottage, in Michigan, over the Fourth of July (July 6th, actually) weekend in 2013. He proposed at the end of the dock while the sun was setting. It was beautiful! Then we went back to the house to tell my entire family and celebrate with a champagne toast! For our wedding, we chose a traditional, preppy (and slightly nautical) Navy Blue and Emerald Green theme. My favorite part were the stripes. From the invitations and programs to the purses to the umbrellas – the stripes were so much fun!We chose the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago so we could have the ceremony at my family’s church. – Elizabeth Greve
