This elegant Missouri winter wedding includes lots of gold details. The brides style is very classic and elegant, while the groom loves country living and the outdoors – they merged their two aesthetics together for one gorgeous wedding day. One of our favorite details is the late night donut bar – yummy!
The couple is a great blend of city-meets-country. Everything about their day was made to tie in the groom’s love of the outdoors and country living with the bride’s love for elegant urban party planning and great details. The bride is a party designer, and wanted to make everything about their day coordinate in a fun-yet-elegant theme of gold glitter, with some black, white, and polka dots mixed in! Many of the details were handmade, hand sewn, or hand crafted by the couple or their families. The bride’s mom sewed adorable shoe bags for the bride and bridesmaids. The gold glitter letters and table numbers used throughout were painted by the couple. The wooden tree stand was cut by the groom (who is an arborist). A lot of other details came from Etsy shops — like custom coffee cuffs for a surprise Starbucks delivery to the bridesmaids from the groom! The couple also wanted to support a lot of local businesses, and did so with great welcome back for Kansas City visitors filled with local products. They also had gold foil beer glasses for the groomsmen. The wedding happened the weekend after Thanksgiving, and since the groom is an arborist, the couple wanted to make a stop at the local Boy Scouts Christmas Tree lot for their portraits. Gold glitter was involved there as well. – Anecdotally Yours
