This classic University of Notre Dame wedding has us swooning on a Monday! The bride is a fashion designer and actually designed her own dress – it is one of the most fabulous wedding gowns we have ever laid eyes on. For the ceremony she opted for a more formal look and for the reception she removed the bottom half of the dress to reveal feather and bead details. Enjoy this white and gold spring wedding with photos by the wonderful Kristi of markit photography.
More about the wedding day from markit photography, “Tracy is one of the most relaxed, sincere, down to earth, and straight up talented brides I’ve ever met. And by talented, I’m alluding to the fact that she made her jaw-dropping dress, inspired by Zac Posen. As a fashion designer and practicing stylist, I knew this classic white and gold wedding would be stunning. For their traditional Catholic service at the Notre Dame Basilica, she created a more formal, long dress. And for the reception, she removed the bottom half of the dress, revealing the most incredible details of beads and feathers! The shoes were a close second, and her bird cage veil was the perfect accent for their day. With Bill’s classic bow tie, old fashioned’s and pocket watches for gifts, the men were just as spot on. The Basilica provided the most beautiful backdrop, with their reception on campus at the Morris Inn. Bill and Tracy danced to “Wake Me Up” as their first dance, mixing in slow with fast choreographed dancing. It was the most perfect spring and love-filled day with their closest friends and family, and a straight up dance party.”
