It’s hard to not feel giddy about these photos by Scott K. Anliker Photography, the bride to be is seriously glowing with love and excitement!
The proposal story (in the words of the bride to be):
Fast-forward two years to the proposal. I had just hopped out of the shower at Jordan’s place when suddenly Daisy (our yellow lab) came barreling through the door. She is an outside farm dog, so instantly I was irritated with Jordan. Moments later Jordan came in with a goofy grin on his face squealing in a girly voice “Ah Daisy get her, get her!” Next I noticed Daisy had something in her mouth. I exclaimed, “Jordan, she is already chewing on something, get her out!” He replied, “Don’t you want to see what is in her mouth?” Annoyed I waited as he handed me a box. My heart dropped as I read “Zales”. He urged me to open it, so I did, expecting what every girl would—a big, diamond ring. Nope, nada, nothing. Inside the box was an empty ring slot. I threw the box at Jordan and yelled at him for making such a rotten joke! With that he got down on one knee on the damp floor, right there in the steamy bathroom and held up the most perfect ring with his two fingers. “Will you marry me?” he asked. I was so shocked I didn’t know how to react, so naturally I started crying (happy tears) and he asked again, “So is that a yes?” Well of course it was.
Jordan and Jacque plan to wed January 3rd, 2015 in Paullina, Iowa.
The shoot took place in the rolling hills of western Iowa just outside the town of Sutherland. As for the inspiration, the photographer wanted to keep it bright and relaxed with a hint of country thrown in to really tell the story of the couple. – All Photo Credits: Scott K. Anliker Photography
